    Main Duties & Responsibilities

    Inside Sales Advisor works in the retail environment where they are required to provide tier one support to internal and external customers for both Caterpillar and other vendors. This position greets customers, anticipate their needs and assist them in locating and selecting items.

     

    Acknowledges and greets customers in a prompt courteous fashion.

    Manages parts inquiries over the phone, via email, and in person.

    Determines urgency of parts and decides most efficient way to meet customers’ needs; uses “Need by Date” effectively.

    Communicates all customer relationship issues to Parts Manager including complaints, obtains all pertinent information prior to reporting and suggests course of action.

    Enters parts sales orders promptly and correctly to ensure accurate pulling and shipping of the order.  All parts orders to be completed daily, assisting co-workers as needed.

    Code parts sales to the appropriate Division and Cost Center allowing for accurate financial record keeping and retrieval.

    Generates invoices and completes customer transactions by receiving payment from the customer.

    Processes, tracks and completes customers’ orders to exceed customers’ expectations.

    Maintains an accurate Cash Sale file keeping all Cash Sales under 14 days.

    Processes parts returns the day received, check for condition and original sell price.

    Maintains current knowledge of all information resources, including SIS, Infocast, Reman, ANTARES, and Allied lines.

    Assists with filling orders when necessary.

    Maintains neat retail lobby displays and counter work station.

     

     

    Qualifications

    Computer skills. Proficient in dealer computer systems, ANTARES, SIS, Infocast.

    Must be able to comprehend, speak and write the English language.

    Must possess good interpersonal and communication skills.

     

    High School Diploma or related equivalent required.
