Main Duties & Responsibilities

Primary Job Role

Process Development & Optimization: Lead the design, development, and continuous improvement of welding processes and procedures to drive operational efficiency, product quality, and safety outcomes.

 

Quality & Regulatory Compliance: Oversee compliance with project specifications, industry codes (e.g., AWS, ASME), and applicable safety regulations, ensuring consistent adherence and risk mitigation.

 

Inspection & Technical Analysis: Evaluate welded structures and systems, conducting advanced defect analysis and root cause investigations to implement corrective and preventive solutions.

 

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering and design teams to ensure weldability of materials and proactively integrate welding requirements into product development and design strategy.

 

Training & Capability Development: Develop and deliver technical training programs, mentoring welders and technicians to enhance skill development, performance, and compliance standards.

 

Technical Expertise & Problem Solving: Serve as a subject matter expert, providing consultative guidance and resolving complex welding and fabrication challenges through independent analysis and decision-making.

 

Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

Formal Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a related area of study.

Experience: 3-4 years

Required / Credentials

Certified Assistant Weld Inspector or higher.

 

Not Required but Highly Desired Criteria

 

Experience in ISO 9001:2015.

Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Proven experience in WPS/PQR Development and Compliance.

Ability to create technical training and instructions for welding procedures.

 

Updating of Knowledge
