Main Duties & Responsibilities

Primary Job Role

Under the directions of the Leadperson, assists with supervision of shop personnel and job progress daily and reports job status and department issues.

 

Communicates daily work schedule received from the direction of the leadperson of the department with shop personnel.

 

Inspects work in progress and finished products for compliance with build instructions and drawings.

 

Participates and ensures employees are performing preventative maintenance of all machines including but not limited to overhead cranes in department.

 

Ensures employees adhere to company policies, procedures and work processes. Monitors and enforces safety awareness and compliance.

 

Trains new personnel within the department on safety, company policies, procedures, and job expectations.

 

Assists employees of department with day-to-day job duties and responsibility as needed.

 

Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

 

Formal Education High School diploma or GED

Experience 1-2 years

 

Required / Credentials

 

Able to easily and effectively comprehend written material and communicate orally and in writing with employees and customers.

 

Two (2) years manufacturing experience; must have previous experience in metalworking environment and quality systems. Previous supervisory experience a requirement. An emphasis in Product

Research & Development is preferred

 

Knowledge of the industry and products for division location.

 

Must possess good interpersonal and communication skills.
