Main Duties & Responsibilities

Primary Job Role

Perform diagnostic assessments and implement corrective actions on HVAC and chiller systems, including mechanical, electrical, and control components.

 

Install HVAC systems and chiller units at client sites in accordance with technical specifications and safety standards.

 

Coach and support field technicians in mastering refrigeration methods and HVAC service protocols to enhance team performance.

 

Diagnose issues and implement repairs or upgrades to HVAC systems, including mechanical, electrical, and control components.

 

Analyze system performance, create maintenance strategies, and carry out preventive maintenance tasks on HVAC and chiller systems to minimize downtime.

 

Provide on-site and in-shop HVAC support, servicing systems in various industrial and commercial environments.

 

Respond to and manage HVAC service calls during regular business hours and after-hours as needed.

 

Participate in after-hours and emergency response efforts, including natural disaster support, as part of the Rental department’s operational readiness.

 

Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

 

Formal Education High School diploma or GED

 

Experience 7+ years of experience 

 

Required / Credentials

 

  • Able to read electrical Ability to organize work and meet deadlines. Strong verbal and written communication.
  • York, Carrier or Trane Factory trained on Air cooled Chillers 30 ton – 500
  • Able to identify components in advanced refrigeration Understand how each component works.
  • Ability to read advanced wiring Knowledge of Ohms Law. Ability to use multi-meters.

Not Required but Highly Desired

  • Two-year degree from recognized HVAC Tech
  • EPA Universal Certification

 

Updating of Knowledge

 

·       Job requirements frequently change requiring re-training once or more per year.
