Main Duties & Responsibilities

Primary Job Role

 

Conducts all assigned work in a safe manner, adhering to all applicable safety, environmental and contamination control policies, procedures and regulations. Wears proper personal protective equipment.

 

Manages rental service work requests and the daily activities of the service shops to ensure the proper prioritization of rental equipment work. Performs timely Rental Turns of all PSD rental equipment, target 2.5 days. Assures fleet readiness and maintains accountability for condition of ready machines.

 

Updates master Equipment Availability list for all Ring Power branches with PSD rental equipment on a daily or weekly basis. Schedules all preventive maintenance and service letter repairs of all rental equipment. Verifies ESD coverage and expiration. Monitors all shop work orders and invoices for proper completion and accounting. Ensures Ring Power Systems Rental is claiming/capturing all available warranty credit.

 

Purchases supplies and equipment necessary to maintain the overall condition of the entire rental fleet. Updates DBS equipment records with maintenance performed on rental fleet. Reviews all check-in and check-out documents. Receives and manages all customer phone calls concerning technical support on rental fleet items.

 

Coordinates with the Field Service Dispatchers when field service is required. Coordinates with the Rental Supervisors when a unit cannot be repaired in the field and must be swapped out for another unit. Maintain rental fleet tracking devices across all rental equipment. Maintains and remains within operational budgets while controlling the maintenance costs on the rental fleet. Coordinates additional service resources as needed depending on business during storm season or disaster relief efforts.

 

Monitors the Gate Log throughout each business day and updates the Turn Log accordingly. Oversees and manages major projects and sold equipment packages as needed. Attends and successfully completes required Technical training classes. Diagnoses and assists with PSD rental repairs on company owned equipment including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, troubleshooting, maintenance and repairs.

 

Approaches work in a positive manner, maintains conduct that is supportive of the work Team and sets the standard for others to follow. Contributes to Team efforts by accomplishing tasks on time while maintaining safety and quality expectations. Trains and/or mentors others in department. Maintains DOT inspections on rental fleet. Coordinates with rental support reps on daily tasks.

 

Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required / Credentials

Able to easily and effectively comprehend written material and communicate orally and in writing with employees and customers.

 

3 to 5 years of experience in generator set maintenance and repair.

 

Basic computer skills required such as - Lotus Notes and MS Office

 

Posses a basic working mechanical knowledge of generators, air compressors, and HVAC.

Updating of Knowledge

Job requirements change requiring re-training to stay current every 1-2 years.
