Main Duties & Responsibilities

Develops, implements, and manages safety programs, policies, and procedures for Ring Power Corporation.

 

Develop and maintain a corporate safety program.

Manage full time safety support resources Field Safety Coordinators, Safe Driving Instructors) 

Establish and maintain Corporate and Branch safety committees to oversee safety.

Oversee periodic inspections of all RPC facilities for safety compliance.

Report on health and safety awareness, issues and statistics.

Evaluate practices, procedures and facilities to assess risk and adherence to the law.

Conduct training and presentations for health and safety matters and accident prevention.

Oversee completion of all reports required for compliance with all regulatory agencies.

Coordinate input with 3rd party qualifiers (ISNet, Browz, Avetta) to ensure compliance.

Oversee investigation of all safety incidents to discover root causes and implement solutions.

Recommend solutions to issues, improvement opportunities or new prevention measures.

Keep senior leadership informed of all safety related issues.

Periodically review and update all safety policies and procedures.

Report status of safety activities to the Training and HR VPs as requested.

Maintain training and compliance status of our workforce with MSHA and OSHA.

Keep records of safety training needs for forklift operations in all RPC facilities.

Qualifications

Proven experience as safety manager

Outstanding attention to detail and observation ability

Deep understanding of legal health and safety guidelines

Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities

Ability in producing reports and developing relevant policies

Good knowledge of data analysis and risk assessment

Must be able to comprehend, speak and write the English language

 

Bachelor’s Degree from a four year college or university or related equivalent experience.

BS/BA in safety management or relevant field is preferred.

Valid qualification in occupational health and safety
