Main Duties & Responsibilities

Primary Job Role

Conducts all assigned work in a safe manner, adhering to all applicable safety, environmental and contamination control policies, procedures, and regulations. Wears safety glasses, steel toed shoes, gloves, ear protection, and complete company-provided uniform while in the workplace.  Uses proper Lockout Tag Out procedures, fall protection, seatbelts in vehicles/forklifts, arc flash protection, and confined space procedures when exposed to these hazards.

 

Administer complete and accurate coverage of all customers in the assigned territory. Ensure all customers in this territory are physically called upon, as determined by division leadership. Provides value-added parts and service wear solutions to customers which result in the lowest total cost of ownership. Serves as the customer's primary contact for all wear parts and service opportunities. Reports weekly to the team on new opportunities and the status of open quotes.

 

Provide technical interpretation of customer requests for parts and services. Work with internal team members to develop, gain approval for pricing and work scope, lead times, and deliver solutions (proposals) to customers for parts and services. Serves as an expert advisor to customers in the industrial & equipment applications, providing recommendations on solutions that lower the customer's total cost of ownership.

 

Provides effective hand-off of awarded parts and service projects to team members to ensure the project scope, timeline, and deliverables are clearly understood.

 

Assist in identifying the need for and development of marketing material.

 

Keeps accurate records of all parts and service opportunities in company Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems. Reports all new, lost, or won sales opportunities in a timely manner with an analysis of the reason for loss or win. Understands and influences future product development. Is aware of the competitive products and the competitive situation for a specific customer.

 

Ensures firsthand knowledge of all customer grievances. Take responsibility for reporting grievances to management in a timely manner. Assists in timely resolution of grievances.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

Formal Education High School diploma or GED

Experience 5-6 years

Required / Credentials

Able to easily and effectively comprehend written material and communicate orally and in writing with employees and customers.

 

Valid Driver's License

 

Proficient in use of Microsoft Word and Excel.

Not Required but Highly Desired Criteria

Proficient in use of Dealer Business System

 

Prior experience in Dragline Equipment Management (Planning and/or Maintenance)

Updating of Knowledge

Job requirements change requiring re-training to stay current every 1-2 years.
