Primary Job Role
Reviews designs of mechanical and electro-mechanical materials, components, assemblies, processes and/or equipment incorporated in existing or new product lines.
Creates and maintains standard work for shop processes.
Investigates and evaluates existing technologies for application to product development and manufacture of existing and new products.
Investigates and evaluates existing technologies for process development and manufacture of existing and new products.
Researches and developments of potential product lines or enhancements to existing processes.
Coordinates and reviews vendor activities to support process manufacture and development. Maintains compliance standards, such as ANSI A92.2 and B25.5.
Works together with and sometimes leads other process engineers.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Formal Education Bachelor's Degree in a related area of study
Experience 1-2 years
Required / Credentials
Proficient in Excel & Word.
Ability to work with a team of design engineers and shop technicians.
Must possess excellent written and verbal interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work with hand tools.
Not Required but Highly Desired Criteria
Minimum of two (2) years' experience in manufacturing engineering with an emphasis in the mechanical & electrical field preferred.
Experience in creating and maintaining standard work.
Updating of Knowledge
Job requirements occasionally change requiring re-training to stay current every 3-5 years.
