Main Duties & Responsibilities

Primary Job Role

Will be responsible for preparing and reviewing financial statements and other reports, as well as presenting financial statement results to members of management.

 

Must have the ability to perform multiple tasks while producing a high volume of work with accuracy. A sense of urgency, excellent attention to detail, and strong Microsoft Excel skills are required for this position.

 

Must be able to demonstrate initiative, solid organizational skills, dependability, diligence, commitment to teamwork, enthusiasm for customer service, and dedication to finding solutions in an efficient manner.

 

Strong understanding of GAAP.

 

Perform general ledger account reconciliations, review and research transactions in the general ledger, and post journal entries.

 

Serve as a resource to answer questions from other employees in the company related to the financial statements and general ledger activity.

 

Become proficient in the company's software systems including but not limited to Unit4, Sharepoint, DBS, and Teams

 

The ability to quickly acquire a solid understanding of various reporting requirements

 

Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

Formal Education Bachelor's Degree in Accounting

 

Experience 3-4 years

Required / Credentials

Able to easily and effectively comprehend written material and communicate orally and in writing with employees.

 

Certified Public Accountant license.

 

Extensive computer experience with Microsoft Excel. Must be proficient in PivotTables, charts, conditional formatting, and a variety of advanced formulas and nested formulas.

Not Required but Highly Desired Criteria

Experience in Public Accounting.

 

Familiar with setup and usage of ODBC connections for extracting data

 

Proficiency in report building, data cubes, and Access/SQL queries preferred.

Updating of Knowledge

Job requirements occasionally change requiring re-training to stay current every 3-5 years.
